Skills for life on Magnetic Island

SeaLink North Queensland proudly sponsors the annual SeaLink Island Big Day Out. This vibrant event brought together 30 NRL Cowboys House students from some of Australia’s most remote communities and the dedicated Arcadian Surf Lifesaving Club.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Magnetic Island, the day was packed with excitement and purpose. From flag races and sprints to relays and rescue drills, the students had the opportunity to dive into the world of surf lifesaving, gaining hands-on experience in what it takes to be a lifeguard for a day.

The team thoroughly enjoyed hosting this energetic and educational day, which wrapped up with a relaxed BBQ lunch, fostering new friendships and celebrating the spirit of community.
