Kelsian Group Limited

A new name for SeaLink Travel Group Limited is proposed.

What does Kelsian mean?

‘Kelsian’ is an anagram of the word ‘SeaLink’. It reflects the transformational growth of our business over the last few years whilst paying respect to our origins.

The name is derived from our long proud history operating as SeaLink, who is known for providing safe land and marine based travel and tourism services to Australians and visitors from around the world.

Why change to Kelsian Group?

Since our humble beginnings in 1989, SeaLink Travel Group has experienced a remarkable period of growth. Evolving from a South Australian ferry service to Kangaroo Island, to becoming Australia’s largest integrated land and marine transport and tourism provider with established international public bus transport operations in Singapore and London.

Today, we have a team of approximately 9,000 employees, operate around 3,800 buses and 117 vessels, and carry over 207 million customers per year.

Our purpose is to be a world leader in delivering essential journeys through safe and intelligent transport solutions and create brilliant customer experiences. The proposed change of company name to Kelsian Group Limited reflects this vision and responds to our transformational growth and diversification, and our continued growth into the future.

The proposed change of name to Kelsian Group Limited, if supported by our shareholders at the upcoming 2021 Annual General Meeting, will be the name of the ASX listed parent company for our group. However, this name change will not impact any of our local and customer-facing brands. Our public transport, ferry, and tourism customers will still see all the brands they know and love, across Australia and the world.
