Monday 01 December 2025

The American Bus Association (ABA) has announced a new Driving Force Council, confirming that Brent Maitland, Chief Executive Officer of All Aboard America Holdings (AAAHI) has been appointed to the Executive Committee.

The Driving Force Council has been launched as a standalone body dedicated to strengthening the motorcoach and group travel industry’s workforce and culture. According to the ABA, the new Driving Force Council will focus on tackling key challenges such as recruitment, onboarding, retention, leadership development, and continuous education.

Mr Maitland joins a cross-section of respected industry leaders committed to driving meaningful change as part of the Council’s Executive Committee. His industry expertise, and position leading the second largest U.S. motorcoach operator, will bring invaluable insights to the Council’s strategic direction.

The Council is part of the Association’s newly adopted Strategic Plan, which identifies Workforce and Culture as one of its four core pillars, alongside Advocacy, Safety and Operations, and Marketplace.

Mr Maitland said he is honored to serve alongside his peers and is committed to supporting the Council’s mission to secure a thriving future for the industry.

“The workforce challenges facing the motorcoach and group travel industry are complex, but also present an opportunity for collaboration, innovation and positive impact,” said Mr Maitland.

“I look forward to working with the Council to help ensure we are attracting, developing, and retaining the talent we need to keep this industry strong and productive.”

AAAHI subsidiaries recently launched Road to $100K, a flagship recruitment initiative that establishes a pathway for new drivers.

“The Road to 100K program means new drivers can enter the transportation industry with no experience and five years later, make over $100k annually.

“It’s been really successful initiative and well received - and it’s just the start of the type of innovative and practical programs we can deploy that will drive positive change in our industry,” he said.

Graeme Legh, Chief Executive Officer of Kelsian Group, which owns AAAHI, said Mr Maitland’s appointment reflects the calibre of leadership within the company and reinforces Kelsian’s commitment to advancing public transport globally.

“We are incredibly proud to see Brent contribute his knowledge and leadership to the Driving Force Council on behalf of AAAHI and Kelsian Group.

“Workforce development and culture are not only critical issues in the USA motorcoach sector but also across the global transport industry. His involvement ensures our organisation is contributing to solutions that will support sustainable, resilient, and people-focused transport outcomes for years to come.

“As part of a global team, Brent’s appointment demonstrates how Kelsian’s executive leaders participate in knowledge-sharing to help shape the future of transport in meaningful ways.,” said Mr Legh.
