Kelsian secures key contract extension in Colorado with ACE express coaches
Thursday 10 October 2024
Kelsian Group's wholly owned USA subsidiary, Ace Express Coaches (ACE Express), has again proven its operational strength and commitment to excellence. The company has been awarded a new contract to continue providing statewide motorcoach transit operations for the Colorado Department of Transportation’s 'Bustang' and 'Pegasus' services.
Since the launch of these services in 2015, ACE Express has successfully managed operations with vehicles owned and supplied by the State of Colorado. The new contract commences on 1 November 2024. The contract covers the operation and fleet maintenance of around 49 motorcoaches for Bustang and 16 vans for Pegasus, staffed by a dedicated team of approximately 125 employees. This award further solidifies ACE Express' long-standing track record of successful contract retention, demonstrating the company's consistent ability to meet the needs of Colorado's public transit system while fostering strong relationships with state authorities.
Kelsian Group Managing Director and CEO, Clint Feuerherdt said:
"Contract retention remains a key pillar of our global growth strategy and we’re pleased with the recent outcome of AAAHI’s competitive tender with the State of Colorado’s Department of Transportation.
"Securing up to US$26.5M in revenue in the first year, the contract represents a strategic achievement for our operations in North America. Expansion opportunities also give scope to potentially more than double the existing services to the State of Colorado throughout the contract term.
"With a successful local operation history spanning back to 2015, the contract affirms our commitment to delivering world-class services to local communities.
"This contract strengthens our position and opens new opportunities for future growth.
AAAHI Chief Executive Officer, Graeme Legh said:
"I am delighted that ACE Express has again been awarded this contract, which ranks as one of the top 10 contracts for AAAHI. As a capital-light contract with assets supplied by the State of Colorado, the focus is now on ensuring we are well positioned to capitalise on the expansion opportunities."
