Liberty Bus takes customer experience to the next level with new app launch

LibertyBus, part of Kelsian Group’s International Bus Division, Tower Transit, has teamed up with Urban Things and are pleased to launch their very own LibertyBus app, making bus travel for Jersey customers even easier.

The new LibertyBus app, which is available at the App store and Google Play, makes journey planning simple and shows live bus positions, bus stop information, bus loading information, saved bus stops, school bus routes and buses, and will also show links to diversion information.

The beta version of the app was soft launched in April with the introduction of the new timetable, but is now available to download for free for all to use and make bus travel even easier.

Director for LibertyBus Kevin Hart says:

‘It’s great to see that the buses on the live map now also show their direction of travel. Also, the ability to simply position your current location will also be a bonus to those visiting the island or exploring areas of Jersey they may not be familiar with.’

‘Seeing the school routes is a great addition. We know that the behaviour of catching a regular bus when young often continues into adult life. Not only are there live times for the school buses but the full route can be seen on the map or as detailed bus stops. This revolutionises the offering from LibertyBus to those planning journeys to and from school.’

‘We began working on the LibertyBus app last year. We believed Jersey customers deserved a dedicated bus travel app, one with the same features and functionality used in larger regions and cities.’
