SeaLink Marine & Tourism’s Whitsunday experiences took centre stage at the 2024 Whitsunday Tourism Awards, with SeaLink Whitsundays, Red Cat Adventures, and Whitsunday Jetski Tours all earning top accolades across multiple categories.

SeaLink Whitsundays General Manager, Asher Telford, said these achievements underscore SeaLink’s commitment to world-class service and exceptional guest experiences.

The awards received included:

Mr Telford shared his pride in seeing the work of the Whitsundays’ team celebrated at the awards. “Winning these awards alongside achieving 100% customer satisfaction this year is both humbling and rewarding.

“It speaks volumes about our team’s dedication and the high standard we set across all our products and experiences. To have every team recognised among the region’s best is a testament to our commitment to service and experience excellence,” Mr Telford said.

In the past year, SeaLink Whitsundays acquired Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jetskis as well as expanding the range of exceptional experiences in the region by introducing the Wildcat snorkel adventure to the outer reef, guided Jetski tours, snorkelling, and beach tours in partnership with Intercontinental Hayman Island, and building strong educational programmes such as the Immersive Learning Project, which fosters eco-awareness and stewardship of the Great Barrier Reef.

Donna Gauci, CEO of SeaLink Marine & Tourism, praised the Whitsundays teams' remarkable accomplishments. “The wins for Red Cat Adventures and Whitsunday Jetski Tours, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards, along with SeaLink Whitsundays’ recognition as a Best of Queensland experience, are a true testament to the team’s dedication and passion.

“Delivering exceptional travel experiences takes consistency and commitment, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team for earning this well-deserved recognition of their hard work,” Ms Gauci said.

SeaLink Whitsundays’ dedication to innovation and community engagement extends beyond guest experiences, with the team leading initiatives in local crew training through school-based Coxswain’s courses, completing an accessibility audit and upgrades, and introducing new products to support eco-tourism in the Great Barrier Reef.

SeaLink Whitsundays, Red Cat Adventures, and Whitsunday Jetski Tours all proudly hold Ecotourism Australia’s Advanced ECO Certification, underscoring their commitment to sustainable practices and authentic nature-based tourism. This certification reflects a strong commitment to responsible tourism and the preservation of the Whitsundays' pristine beauty for future generations.

With Red Cat Adventures and Whitsunday Jetski Tours set to represent the region at the upcoming Queensland Tourism Awards, the SeaLink Whitsundays team continues to uphold its commitment to delivering excellence in tourism, while celebrating the local culture and natural wonders of the Whitsundays.
